The Martingale: This is the oldest and most famous of all progressive betting schemes. It works as follows:
Example:
The risk in using this system is that you will lose enough times in a row that you either can't afford to double your bet or doubling your bet would cause you to go over the maximum bet limit. The martingale works great though when your chances of losing more than a few times in a row are minimal. The Reverse Martingale: As the name suggests, the Reverse Martingale is the exact opposite of the regular Martingale. Instead of doubling your bet on a loss, you double it every time you win. If you lose, you start over again with the original bet. Obviously you must set ahead of time some point which you'll stop doubling your wins... a maximum of 3-4 times is recommended. With this system you'll have many small losses, but when you DO win, you'll win big. |
